Sustainability lies at the core of our operations. In partnership with The Aid By Trade Foundation (AbTF), we support with nearly 5,000 farmers in Maharashtra to produce India’s First Regenerative Cotton Standard (RCS)-certified Cotton. This pioneering initiative underscores our dedication to promoting environmentally friendly and socially responsible practices in the cotton industry.
The Regenerative Cotton Standard® (RCS), developed by AbTF, is a voluntary standard designed for cotton cultivation by small-scale farmers employing regenerative farming methods. Its primary focus is to enhance the overall resilience and productivity of small-scale farms while creating value for farmland, rural communities, the biosphere, and the quality of life for farm animals.
Unlike traditional standards, RCS adopts a holistic approach by targeting the entire production system rather than focusing solely on the cotton itself. This system-wide approach ensures sustainable practices that support long-term environmental health, economic viability, and community well-being.
By championing Regenerative Cotton Farming, we aim to lead the way in building a more sustainable future for the cotton industry while empowering farming communities and safeguarding the planet.
